A Poem: 'Forth'

The windows are always the same
No matter what corner you are looking from
They unfold like moss dripping on tin roofs

Drip. Drip. Drip.

Like hot libido through a Cosmos

Trickling down a shivering spine
The chariot of Pardon
Drifting in a spasm

Trickling down in showers the morning after
Hammering down the sparkles in your eyes

And before you are gone,

You are back

A Quick Drawing: 'Danny Boy'

Walked down Brick Lane to draw some people taking as little time as possible.

An Illustration in a London Street: 'J'

I finished 'J' with a sticker Snubby had given me the previous day and it was still in my handbag.
It's Wintertime already in my hometown.

A Poem: The Bears and The Fairies

The cold night crawls through my toes
like the way you can spread a nebula
on your morning toast
full of marmalade
The seventh sound of the forgotten Goon
avocado nipples until the sun sleeps
and all at once this moment was born
Waking up in a theatre with tiaras
full of glitter and scattered up the walls
a purple tiramisu cramped in a teacup
looking at you

stirred
and goaded, pushed, egged on
with one final splash, the jacuzzi invited us
and we all agreed

… to burst the bubbles
back into the freckles of your shoulder.

A Poem: Starry Walls

I woke up this morning with glide in my eyes
And bones protruding from my temples
Looking like a defaced Monroe

The moon seemed to whisper in my hair
‘the rockets are ready for the launch
and the sandwiches we made were left in the counter,
forgotten’
I can hear empty triangles
the ink glittering in the dark
lighting up the ceiling.

You are sweating next to me
breathing slowly sound sleep
I am watching you with one eye
the smoke coming out of your nostrils

Almost visible.

And with a kiss I steal from you
I go back to my pillows
Sinking into the dark side of a starry wall

So full of secrets.

A Poem and a Drawing: Cards and Conjuring Tricks

The stranger poses of Wonderlust
a moment of most simple substance
Lost in a predictable weep of ambitions
where a stumbling caterpillar
laughs at the pig walking on water

My Lover
Like millionaire medicine
her eyeballs keep me warm
She holds me like the sky holds the sun
Whispering…

(Feed your head…)
(…Feed your head)
With all the crumbs of a broken kiss that never happened.

The Poem went back and forth between Dods and myself.

A Poem and a Painting: Other Moons

She looked at him running down Smokey Bear Canyon
‘it’s only the asphalt that holds the earth together’
and when the thunder makes it tremble from underneath

it only leaves a scar on the road

Enough for the flesh eating ants
to begin the breaking of the heart

enough for the blue grass
to take root behind your eyes
as soon as you wake up
and feel the sun trying to invade your madrigal
the lines and the curves
emanating from behind his neck

Letting your thoughts bubble through your nostrils
his body heat

the taste of the open fire on his breastbone
her fingerprints left on his collarbone

the old ghosts of the wind adorned his first song

and the rock had a light…

... and a Third Moon.
